Shri Satya Vir Katara is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer hailed from Uttar Pradesh, with over 29 years of distinguished service in the Police Department. He holds a Master’s degree and has consistently demonstrated excellence in various operational and administrative roles. Throughout his career, Shri Katara has held several key positions, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in various units of Delhi such as Crime, P.C.R., Licensing, SPUWAC, Security, DAPs, IGI Airport, and North District. He has also served as SP in Arunachal Pradesh from January, 2021 to June, 2023. Presently, he holds the position of Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Headquarters). In recognition of his exemplary service and outstanding administrative capabilities, he was honored with the Commissioner’s Disc for Excellence in Administrative Duties on two occasions in 2024 & 2025.
