Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer hailed from Uttar Pradesh, with more than 29 years of distinguished service in the Police Department. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and L.L.M. and has consistently demonstrated excellence in various operational and administrative roles. Throughout his career, Shri Gupta has held several key positions, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in multiple districts and specialized units of Delhi such as East, North East, South West, North, New Delhi, Rohini, DAP, Special Branch, Railway, IGI Airport and Traffic. He has also served as DCP in Arunachal Pradesh from 2020 to 2023. Presently, he holds the position of Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Zone-II). In recognition of his exemplary service and outstanding administrative capabilities, he was honored with multiple medals, includes United Nation Medal For Service In Kosovo in 2006, President Police Medal For Meritorious Services in 2018, Medal for Police (Special Duty) in 2021, DG Commendation Disc in 2022, Antrik Suraksha Seva Padak in 2022 and the Commissioner of Police’s Disc for Excellence in Administrative Duties in 2024.
