Shri Satish Golchha is a distinguished Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1992 batch, hailing from Gujarat, with over 32 years of exemplary service in the Indian Police. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has consistently exhibited excellence across a wide range of operational and administrative roles. Over the course of his career, Shri Golchha has held several key positions within the Delhi Police, including postings as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in multiple districts and specialized units such as North-West, Central-West, Special Cell, Traffic, and Vigilance. He has also served outside Delhi, notably as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Arunachal Pradesh from February 2022 to June 2023. In his capacity as Special Commissioner of Police, he has led multiple critical units, including Vigilance, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Special Cell, Crime Branch, Law & Order, Intelligence, and Prisons. Currently, Shri Satish Golchha serves as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. In recognition of his outstanding service and administrative acumen, he was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2018.
